My Udaan Trust is an initiative started by Ms Ananya Goenka, to empower the underprivileged sections of society with quality education.
My Udaan Trust has worked on multiple projects ranging from skill development to educational infrastructure improvement.
The trust has made both small and large interventions to better utilize and upgrade the existing municipal school infrastructure.
At the time of Covid-19, My Udaan Trust started a digital initiative for students and teachers and under this initiative teaching and learning adapted to the online mode.
Founder’s Message
As the founder of My Udaan Trust, Ananya Goenka has dedicated the last 20 years to educating and skilling underprivileged children. Inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s vision of imparting a skill to every child, her journey in education began by conducting vocational training across Mumbai, including electrician, mehndi and beauty classes for underprivileged teenagers.
Her initiative has since blossomed—today, My Udaan teaches coding and robotics to over 1800 underprivileged children across Maharashtra. To empower India’s human potential in the grassroots, My Udaan’s teaches these futuristic courses in the local Marathi language.
Under her leadership, the My Udaan MPS School in Byculla was launched with just 20 children. Today, the English-medium school has grown to accommodate 170 students, and was awarded “best public school” by the city’s municipality.
